Akin Gump partner stops blogging after post on 'ugly' Yaqui prayer

A partner at
Akin Gump Strauss Hauer &
Feld has stopped posting on a conservative blog he founded after running into controversy with his firm.
Paul Meringoff, formerly of
PowerLine, was forced to apologize after he described a prayer by Carlos Gonzales, a member of the
Pascua Yaqui Tribe, as "ugly."
Akin Gump also
apologized and said it was reviewing its social media policies in the wake of the incident.
Meringoff's original post, titled "An evening in Tucson -- the good, the bad, and the ugly," was about the memorial service for the victims of the shooting in which Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Arizona) was seriously injured.
He removed the post from PowerLine and a Google cache was available up until recently.
